Initial Filming

We were able to have access to an empty class room in the college that was a perfect large empty space so we set up the green screen to film the scene of Mario first 'coming our of the television'.

From filming this clip we have learnt that getting rid of shadows is very important when using a green screen because it disrupts the editing process by not being the same colour as the rest of the background that we were trying to edit. We have also become more aware of how long setting up the equipment actually takes. from this we can now allow ourselves more time for our next filming session.

We took photos of Emma's Tv so that the continuity will not be effected when we film.

Sam was able to capture real game footage to put behind Mario as her comes out of the Tv, this will make our film seem much more realistic as we can include game footage before he 'escapes'.

This is how we captured the footage...

  1. Important that you just establish the game and character - don't go on for too long. Are you going to try and show his discontent through speech bubbles or animation etc. Or is he just suddenly going to appear trying to get out of the TV? Will be interested to see.
